STERLING, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Neustar, Inc., a trusted, neutral provider of real-time information services, today announced the appointment of Brian J. Kober as Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer. He will work closely with Neustar’s leaders to drive the development and implementation of strategic choices to accelerate and maximize long-term growth. Kober will report to Charles Gottdiener, Neustar President and Chief Executive Officer.
Kober comes equipped with a 30-year track record of formulating and implementing successful growth strategies, scaling capabilities and delivering exponential growth. Previously, he was the Chief Enterprise Transformation Officer of Komatsu America, a $5 billion subsidiary of the Japanese construction and mining equipment manufacturer. During his tenure he spearheaded global initiatives to optimize processes, enhance operations, orchestrate next generation growth in sales and services enabled by digital transformation and architected a strategic partnership with a leading Fortune 100 software company.

Prior to Komatsu, Kober spent ten years with Motorola in strategy and operational leadership roles. During his tenure he drove $500 million of increased profitability through new product launches, held profit and loss responsibility for a $300 million global aftermarket accessory products business and directed corporate strategy across all Motorola global sectors.
Earlier, Kober was a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and held various engineering, marketing and sales roles with Air Products & Chemicals. He received a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from The University of Michigan.
