CHIGAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) today announced that CEO Dan Liutikas has made the difficult decision to resign as CEO of ILTA. The ILTA Board of Directors has accepted his resignation effective August 31, 2018. The Board has commenced planning discussions to appoint new leadership.
“Dan has been instrumental in assembling an incredibly capable professional staff, establishing organization and membership support structures and helping to focus efforts on key member segments and programming needs," said Angela Dowd, President of the Board.
“It has been an honor to lead this association with such a rich, peer-driven history,” said Liutikas. “Working with an outstanding Board of Directors, a passionate and dedicated membership, an amazing and expert staff, and the vibrant community of business partners has been a real pleasure.”
“As we work through this transition, we are confident that the combination of our volunteer leaders, professional staff and business partners will continue delivering the exceptional educational and networking opportunities that ILTA is known for,” added Dowd.
These opportunities will be front and center as ILTA kicks off its 41st annual educational conference on August 19 in National Harbor, MD, outside of Washington, D.C. A team of more than 35 volunteers along with the professional staff and numerous business partners have been hard at work preparing for ILTACON 2018 which will host the highest number of attendees in its history. The event will feature more than 300 individual session speakers along with more than 200 business partners supporting many of the activities and networking events.
“Looking ahead, we will build on the momentum of ILTACON and continue making progress on our 2018 goals of improving access to relevant information, making meaningful connections, serving our diverse membership and ensuring we have the resources in place to deliver the value and service our members, partners and the entire ILTA community expect,” continued Dowd. “On behalf of the Board and the entire ILTA community, we thank Dan for the hard work, dedication and creativity he brought to his role.”
Mr. Liutikas joined the organization in April 2017 as CEO, upon the retirement of the prior Executive Director, Randi Mayes. He will remain at the organization through the end of August 2018 to ensure a smooth and effective transition of duties under the ILTA Board’s oversight.
