NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) releases its methodology assessing counterparty risk in structured finance transactions. The methodology addresses risks related to financial counterparties such as swap and cap providers, liquidity providers, letter of credit banks, and risks related to transaction service counterparties such as servicers, trustees and account banks. The methodology also addresses KBRA’s approach to reviewing eligibility criteria for permitted investments in a structured finance transaction. This methodology serves as a general framework for KBRA’s approach to evaluating general counterparty risks in structured finance transactions, although KBRA will continue to review counterparty risks on a case-by-case basis.
