GrowLife, Inc. Reports Over 70% Electricity Savings Using Vertical Growing System to Help Cultivators Increase Gross Profit

Leading Indoor Cultivation Supplier Announces Preliminary Test Results on Vertical Grow Rooms Showing Major Reduction in Power Usage Compared to Traditional Rooms

KIRKLAND, Wash.--()--GrowLife, Inc. (OTCQB: PHOT), one of the nation’s most recognized indoor cultivation product and service providers, today announced preliminary test results from a Proof-of-Concept (POC) study in Colorado with a licensed customer on its proprietary vertical grow room system. When compared to plants in a traditional grow room, results showed a 76% reduction in per-plant kilowatt usage with the 8’ x 8’ GrowLife cubical vertical grow system that would result in significant cost savings for cultivators.

The GrowLife vertical grow system was designed with multiple energy saving aspects, including a patent pending lighting system using broad spectrum LEDs that move as the plants grow, as well as proprietary heat displacement technology built into the wall and floor tiles. The FreeFit® floor and wall tiles are designed and manufactured by the company’s product development division GrowLife Innovations, and act as heat conductors by transferring the heat from the air out through the floors and walls. This heat displacement reduces the amount of electricity required to run air conditioning and significantly reduces growing costs.

Electricity usage per plant is one of the highest costs and an important metric to scalable growing facilities,” said GrowLife CEO Marco Hegyi. “We understood that in order to reach our per gram price target our system would need to use significantly less power. That being said, achieving a decrease of over 70% of per-plant kilowatt usage is beyond our expectations and that level of cost savings should really excite our customers. We leveraged our own portfolio of proprietary technologies to build the system and used an integrated systems-based design approach to reach these first successful metrics and create electricity savings per plant not previously seen in our industry.”

The vertical indoor cannabis growing facility POC was developed by a team of engineers alongside cannabis industry experts such as master growers and operators. The system was designed as a part of GrowLife’s focus on product development and innovation that will allow customers to remain efficient in their production techniques while producing competitively priced products.
