NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Standard Industries, a global industrial company, announced today that Michael V. Marinello has been appointed as the Global Head of Communications, overseeing all internal and external communications functions, and serving as the lead spokesperson for the company.
Marinello has more than 20 years of strategic communications experience with major brands including Turner Broadcasting, Bloomberg LP, Microsoft and Becton Dickinson, as well as significant experience working with CEOs, C-suite executives and government and political leaders.

At Turner, he was Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications, overseeing corporate communications, public affairs, partnerships, marketing, media relations and executive communications. He also served on the senior leadership team of their global technology organization. At Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg Philanthropies, Michael held a number of senior communications roles, and also served as a spokesperson and speechwriter for Michael Bloomberg. During his tenure with Bloomberg, he also led communications for C40 Cities and was a member of their senior leadership team. Prior to that, he ran communications and analyst relations for Microsoft’s Intellectual Property and Licensing Division and then Microsoft Office.
Michael started his communications career in the U.S. Senate working for Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (NY) and then Senator Bob Kerrey (NE). He sits on the Leadership Council for Tech:NYC, and several boards including New Yorkers for Culture and Art (NY4CA).
