Apollo Endosurgery, Inc. Announces Closing of Public Offering of Common Stock and Underwriter’s Full Exercise of Over-Allotment Option

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Apollo Endosurgery, Inc. (Nasdaq: APEN), a leader in less invasive medical devices for bariatric and gastrointestinal procedures, today announced the closing of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 4,309,090 shares of its common stock, including 562,055 shares sold pursuant to the underwriter’s exercise in full of its option to purchase additional shares to cover over-allotments. Gross proceeds from the offering at a public offering price of $5.50 per share, before underwriting discounts and commissions and offering expenses, were approximately $23.7 million. All of the common stock was offered and sold by Apollo.

Craig-Hallum Capital Group acted as the sole managing underwriter for the offering.

A shelf registration statement on Form S-3 relating to the offered shares of common stock was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”), and was declared effective on December 20, 2017.
