PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Geoff Gross, Founder and CEO of Medical Guardian, a leading provider of Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS), has won a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award which honors the Top CEOs in 2018 in the U.S. small-and-medium-sized business (SMB) category. Among chief executives recognized by employees in the U.S., Geoff ranked number 39 out of 50 on Glassdoor’s Top CEOs list.
Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest job and recruiting sites, released its annual report recognizing the Top CEOs, based entirely on employee feedback. This list of CEOs highlights extraordinary leaders at SMB companies that employees across the nation love working for. Among the 770,000 companies reviewed on Glassdoor, the average Glassdoor CEO approval rating is 69 percent, while Geoff’s CEO approval rating is 97 percent. This rating is based on the anonymous and voluntary reviews of Medical Guardian employees shared on Glassdoor throughout the past year.
“I’m extremely honored and humbled to be named a Glassdoor Top CEO,” said Geoff Gross, Medical Guardian Founder & CEO. “This award would not be possible without the thoughtful words of my current and former colleagues. Our family-oriented culture and focus on making a difference in people’s lives is what drives the hundreds of Medical Guardian employees to protect over 100,000 customers and empower older adults to live a life without limits.”
When employees submit reviews about their company on Glassdoor, they are asked to share their opinion on some of the best reasons to work for their employer (pros), any downsides (cons) and are encouraged to provide advice to management. Employees are also asked to rate several factors tied to their employment experience, including sentiment around their CEO’s leadership, in addition to rating workplace attributes like senior management, among others. Additionally, as part of these ratings, employees are asked to rate whether they approve, disapprove or are neutral about the job their CEO is doing.
“Winning a Glassdoor Top CEO award is a true acknowledgement of exceptional leadership, as it reflects the opinions of the employees who work with a chief executive every day. I congratulate all of this year’s winners on this significant achievement,” said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor co-founder and CEO. “It can be a real recruiting advantage to have a top-rated CEO at the helm of a company who has strong support from his or her employees. The best CEOs are inspiring, trustworthy, innovative and can be great motivators for people to bring their best selves to work.”
