NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Formativ Health, a technology-enabled health services company focused on transforming the patient-provider experience, announced today the company was named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the Startup of the Year (Business Services) category in The 16th Annual American Business Awards®.
The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Monday, June 11.
More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
Formativ Health was founded as a joint venture by Pamplona Capital Management and Northwell Health, one of the nation’s largest health systems. In 2017, Formativ Health began focusing on providing its technology-enabled patient engagement services offering. Since that time, Formativ Health is quickly transforming patient-provider experiences across the many health systems and physician practices with which it works.
“Formativ Health is honored to be recognized by the Stevie Awards for our new patient-focused model, and the way we work with health systems and physicians to improve their patients’ experiences and foster engagement. We are pleased the judges took note of our startup efforts and successes in our first year of operation. This included unveiling our state-of-the-art Patient Access Center, where we supported 700 physicians, handled 100,000 calls monthly and directly booked 1.5 million patient appointments on behalf of our clients during 2017. We appreciate the acknowledgment of the inaugural efforts put forth by our dedicated team last year as we continue differentiating the company through our patient-focused services and expanding our operations,” explained Nick Stefanizzi, chief administrative officer at Formativ Health.
“The nominations submitted for The 2018 American Business Awards were outstanding. The competition was intense, and those recognized as Stevie Award winners should be immensely proud of this accomplishment,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
More than 200 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
