POMPANO BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Halloran Farkas + Kittila LLP announced today Michael Keller and Edgar Asebey joined the firm April 2, 2018. HFK currently has offices in Palo Alto, California; Washington D.C.; Wilmington, Delaware; and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Michael J. Keller practices intellectual property law, primarily in the life sciences with 26 years of patent prosecution and transactional experience.
Mr. Keller founded and is currently an EVP for Vycellix, Inc., a cellular cancer therapeutics company. Previously he served as Chief Patent Counsel of IVAX Corporation and GMP Companies. He started his legal career in technology transfer for the Department of Energy and the National Cancer Institute at NIH. He holds a J.D. and B.S. from the University of Georgia and was a Ph.D. candidate at the George Washington University. He is admitted to practice in Georgia, Florida, and before the USPTO.
Edgar J. Asebey is a life sciences regulatory and transactional attorney with over 20 years of experience advising clients in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, dietary supplement, and cosmetics industries on FDA regulatory, transactional and venture finance matters.
Previously Mr. Asebey was a Life Sciences partner at Jones Day. Early in his career, Mr. Asebey worked as a patent and licensing advisor at the National Cancer Institute at NIH. After leaving the NCI, Mr. Asebey founded and was CEO of a drug discovery company. He holds a B.A. from The University of Chicago and a J.D. from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and is admitted to practice in Florida and D.C.
