CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Origami Risk, the preeminent risk and insurance technology platform serving all members of the risk management community, has been ranked #1 overall and #1 midsized company in Crain’s 100 “Best Places to Work in Chicago.”
In the 10th anniversary of the awards, Crain’s partnered with Best Companies Group and surveyed 8,800 employees at Chicago-based companies to find the top places to work and recently announced the 2018 winners. According to Crain’s, the survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the 100 best companies to work for in Chicago.
This recognition builds on similar honors Origami Risk has achieved in the past, including a total of more than 17 awards in the past decade for service excellence, innovation, workplace and technology. For each of the past two years, the firm was recognized by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) as one of “The Nation’s Best and Brightest Companies To Work For®,” as well as NABR’s awards for Chicago and Atlanta, and Business Insurance magazine’s “Best Places to Work in Insurance.”
For Crain’s and Best Companies Group, determining the Best Places to Work in Chicago involved a two-step process. The first step, worth 25% of the evaluation, involved evaluating each participating company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part, worth approximately 75% of the evaluation, involved employee surveys aimed at assessing the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace. The combined scores determined the best companies and the final ranking.
“We’re honored to receive this recognition from Crain’s and Best Companies Group,” said Robert Petrie III, CEO, Origami Risk. “As an enterprise, we’ve recognized from the beginning that Origami is not only a software company, but also a talent organization that depends on the skills, enthusiasm and creativity of the people who work here.”
Mr. Petrie added that Origami places a priority on finding people who can best serve customers and providing them with the culture, tools and support they need to be successful. Once people join Origami, management empowers them and gives full responsibility of the client relationships to employees, roughly half of whom share the title senior client executive. Origami also provides incentives, such as ample bonuses, flexible schedules, and benefits, including fitness reimbursements and 20 days of paid maternity/paternity leave.
Putting clients first and always being sure they are obtaining meaningful results through their interaction with Origami’s service professionals results in the highest NPS scores in the industry. When an organization partners with Origami, there is a true commitment to provide continual and consistent support that helps them achieve their near- and long-term business goals.
The way Origami engages with clients is unique and client satisfaction surveys, as well as third-party studies, underscore the firm’s commitment to be the best in support and service. Each client-facing team is evaluated as a group through a satisfaction survey. Origami awards “service bonuses” to individuals based on criteria, including client satisfaction — another incentive for people to collaborate with their teammates to get high survey scores.
