BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jebbit, the world’s first declared data platform, today announced a strong start to 2018, with first quarter booked revenue increasing 239 percent year over year and 225 percent over the fourth quarter. The momentum is driven by a nearly 950 percent increase in the number of declared data points the company has collected year over year in the first quarter and comes on the heels of Jebbit joining Twitter’s new partner program for creative services. To help sustain the growth through this year and beyond, the company has welcomed Bill Macaitis to its board and Yael Avidan as senior vice president of product.
The company’s record growth comes at a time when declared data—a type of first-party data that has been willingly and explicitly shared by an individual consumer, often about their motivations, intentions, interests and preferences—is emerging as a necessary complement to the myriad data sources marketers are already using to engage customers. Traditional third- and second-party data sources are notoriously inaccurate, and first-party data is often tremendously difficult to gather at scale. The Jebbit platform solves those problems by creating and sustaining digital conversations with a brand’s customers on mobile devices to capture declared data at scale and enable marketers to activate it to drive increased lifetime value and greater brand affinity.
Twitter Taps Jebbit for Interactive Content that Translates into
Actionable Data
In late March, Twitter expanded its official
partner program with the addition of creative solutions. Jebbit was one
of just six companies welcomed as a creative solutions partner. Through
the partnership, Jebbit creates interactive content experiences built to
amplify any advertiser’s message, cause, project or brand – transforming
user attention and engagement into actionable data. By providing a
mobile-first content experience that captures declared data directly
from consumers, brands receive more accurate insights into their
audience’s intents, preferences and motivations.
Jebbit unveiled a similar creative partnership with Snapchat in late 2017.
Slack and Adelphic Alumni Join Jebbit
The burgeoning
declared data category is what attracted Macaitis to Jebbit. As a new
board member, Macaitis will apply his experience working for three of
the five fastest-growing SaaS companies ever to help Jebbit achieve
hyper growth. Macaitis most recently served as chief marketing officer
and chief revenue officer at Slack, where he led and scaled the
marketing, sales, customer success and customer support teams. He has
also served as chief marketing officer at Zendesk and senior vice
president of marketing at Salesforce.
“I have a deep passion for igniting and scaling growth at companies, and I gravitate toward those that are data driven in doing so,” said Macaitis. “This made Jebbit a perfect fit for me. I see tremendous potential in the business model, the team and their approach, all of which is coming together as the marketing landscape is undergoing a tremendous shift that will put declared data in the spotlight. I look forward to helping Jebbit seize the opportunity ahead of them.”
To ensure the product stays ahead of the fast-moving market and the company’s growth trajectory, Avidan will oversee the continued development of Jebbit’s mobile experiences and declared data capabilities. In her previous role at Adelphic (acquired by Time Inc.), Avidan drove strategy, roadmap, implementation and go-to-market for the Adelphic platform. Prior to that, she was director of product at Yahoo where she oversaw the roadmap and development of several platforms and products including Yahoo’s premium serving, creative and analytics platforms. She has also held senior product roles at Yieldex and MediaMind (now Sizmek).
“In the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal and with the GDPR deadline looming, brands are more mindful than ever of how they collect and activate consumer data,” said Jonathan Lacoste, president and co-founder of Jebbit. “The marketing industry is undergoing a seismic shift when it comes to data, and we are proud to be at the forefront of helping brands navigate the new normal, one where privacy and personalization can not only co-exist but also function collaboratively. 2018 is off to an amazing start from a revenue and partnership perspective, and we know that momentum will only continue with the help of Bill, Yael and the rest of our dedicated team.”
