CURE Media Group Adds Colon Cancer Foundation to Strategic Alliance Partnership Program

The partnership aims to raise awareness for genetic counseling and genetic testing.

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--CURE Media Group, the nation’s leading digital and print media enterprise dedicated to patients and survivors of cancer, adds the Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation to its Strategic Alliance Partnership program, announced Michael J. Hennessy Jr., president of MJH Associates Inc., parent company of CURE Media Group.

“The Colon Cancer Foundation has worked diligently toward the goal of reducing colorectal cancer incidence and deaths. We are proud to join them in the fight against colon cancer while raising awareness of the disease,” said Michael J. Hennessy Jr.

Founded in 2004 by Thomas K. Weber, MD, FACS the Colon Cancer Foundation is committed to fostering public awareness and supporting research for the causes of and a cure for colorectal cancer. Inspired by his daily work as a surgical oncologist, Weber acknowledged the need to increase awareness for colorectal cancer and established the foundation. To date, the foundation has raised over 4 million dollars to support efforts toward early screening, prevention and research. The foundation will host the Fourth Annual Early Age Onset Colorectal Cancer Summit on April 26 and 27 at JW Marriott Essex House in New York City. This event will focus on the epidemiology of early age onset colorectal cancer.

Weber added, “We are excited about the opportunity to partner with CURE Media Group. The partnership allows us to elevate the visibility of our research and programming focused on understanding the rising number of young Americans affected by colon and rectal cancer and the need for broad and impactful education about the importance of earlier conversations and on time screening for colon cancer. This will exponentially extend the reach of the Colon Cancer Foundation and our ability to fulfill our mission of ending colorectal cancer and improving the quality of life of those already affected by the disease.”

As part of this joint effort, the Colon Cancer Foundation will be able to share valuable content through CURE® magazine, giving the audience access to unprecedented content, including the latest research, interviews and educational articles for patients, medical professionals, survivors, caregivers and those impacted by colorectal cancer. The SAP program is designed to facilitate an open exchange of information among trusted peers, with a goal of improving patient care.
