TACOMA, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sound Physicians announced today that Lisa Shah, MD, is joining the organization as Chief Innovation Officer, charged with leading clinical innovation and transformation across its 300+ hospital partners nationwide. In this role, her focus will be developing and scaling innovative care models, technology-enabled clinical workflows, and telemedicine solutions aimed at improving quality and enhancing value.
Dr. Shah brings over 10 years of consulting, academic and healthcare experience to Sound Physicians. She comes to Sound Physicians from Evolent Health, where she served as Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations and Network, responsible for physician engagement, clinical process design and driving success with value-based payment models. Prior to joining Evolent Health in 2013, Dr. Shah served as the Medical Director of Population Health for Clinovations.
Dr. Shah’s experience and expertise in improving clinician-facing tools and workflows will help drive value for Sound Physicians’ partner hospitals in the rapidly changing healthcare environment. “Sound Physicians is excited to welcome Dr. Shah to our leadership team. Dr. Shah is a graduate of Duke University and completed residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Chicago. While completing a two-year Hospitalist Scholars Fellowship at the University of Chicago, she also earned a master’s degree in public health from the Harris School of Public Policy. Dr. Shah is board certified in internal medicine and continues to practice clinically in Maryland.
