WEST WARWICK, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AstroNova, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALOT), a global leader in data visualization technologies, today announced the first shipments of its Trojan™ T4 digital color label press and finishing system to commercial customers in North America.
“With its superior quality, high speed and significantly lower cost than competitive digital printing systems, the Trojan T4 from TrojanLabel™ is truly game-changing technology that enables small- to mid-sized commercial printers to move into the professional, high-production digital printing market,” said AstroNova President and CEO Greg Woods. “We are exceedingly proud of the successful commercial launch of this flagship technology, which opens fast-growing new markets to our Product Identification business.”
Customers can experience the brilliant resolution and outstanding reliability of the Trojan T4 first-hand at AstroNova’s new Innovation Technology Centers (ITCs), which have opened in Chicago, West Warwick, Denmark, Shanghai and Germany. Product demonstrations are available at all of the ITCs.
“The response to the T4 – and the entire new TrojanLabel product line – has been exceptional,” Woods said. “Customers recognize that AstroNova has the most feature-rich lineup of on-demand, in-house digital label printing solutions on the market. In addition, they appreciate the fact that we offer not just fantastic printers but entire label printing solutions, including supplies, accessories and end-to-end customer support.”
About the Trojan T4
The TrojanLabel T4 is a high-capacity
digital label press integrated with a first-class, robust label
finishing system. Complete with an advanced label printing press,
laminator and die-cutting feature, the T4 offers an all-in-one solution
for label production from start to finish. With its semi rotary and full
rotary die-cutting feature, the T4 can produce blank die-cut labels at
impressive speeds up to 164 feet per minute. Harnessing the ability to
shorten production cycles, the T4 efficiently adapts to frequent setup
changes with minimum downtime for maximum profitability.
One of the standout features of the T4 is the replaceable print head, which can be upgraded to the newest printing technologies and is designed to ensure cost-effective and flexible retrofitting. Another unique benefit to T4 users is its new type of economically formulated ink, capable of reducing ink consumption by 50-70% compared with other printers on the market. Maintaining a much smaller footprint than similar systems, the T4 pushes boundaries, incorporating high-resolution digital printing (up to 1600 dpi), stand-alone and production die-cutting, and precision lamination and finishing, making it one of the most compact and economic label finishers in the market.
