SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alfresco Software, a leading enterprise open source provider of process automation, content management and information governance software, today announced its “Alfresco Day” event in New York on March 28. This one-day event will feature guest speakers from AWS and Boeing, recognized visionary, Sangeet Paul Chaudry, along with presentations by Alfresco executives.
Setting the stage for Alfresco Day is the recognition that digital technology is changing how employees work, where value comes from, and how to gain competitive advantage. Business is a constant flow of information and decisions, and organizations across industries are looking to leverage digital technology to maximize value for both employees and customers and make this flow fast, seamless, intelligent and secure.
“To succeed in 2018, organizations need to digitize their critical business processes and connect people with the information they need, the way they need it, anytime. Our focus is to provide Alfresco Day attendees with an understanding of how and why using a digital business platform accelerates the flow of business,” explained Sydney Sloan, Alfresco chief marketing officer.
The keynote address, “The Platform Revolution,” will be delivered by Sangeet Paul Choudary, executive advisor and best-selling author. The presentation will address the structural inefficiencies that allow platforms to create alternate business models and pull user activity to themselves before diving into the key principles to ensure that businesses adapt to the networked economy while appropriately leveraging traditional assets.
Other sessions include:
- “The New Normal” by Tarik Makota, AWS Partner Solution Architect; this follows the recent announcement of the availability of AWS Quick Start for Alfresco Process Services
- A customer presentation by Erin Leary, leader of collaboration services at The Boeing Company
- “Future of the Industry” by John Newton, Alfresco’s Chief Technology Officer and founder
- Breakout sessions on the themes of “Making the Transition: Elements of a Successful Migration” and “The Economics of Modernizing: Building the Business Use Case”
“We’re excited to bring our customers and partners and other IT professionals together for this full day of learning and networking,” said Sloan. “Making content readily available to the users who need it and the processes that require it – all while ensuring that everything is secure – is a challenge for nearly every enterprise. At Alfresco Day we will offer up new ways to tackle these challenges.”
