Four Gastroenterology Leaders Merge to Become Washington Gastroenterology

TACOMA, Wash.--()--On January 1, 2018, four western Washington Gastroenterology practices merged to form Washington Gastroenterology.

In a united effort to provide continued excellence in patient care and an enhanced experience, four Gastroenterology leaders – Digestive Health Specialists, Gastroenterology Associates, Northwest Gastroenterology and Overlake Internal Medicine-Gastroenterology merged to form Washington Gastroenterology.

With over 40 Board-Certified Gastroenterologists, and 20 Non-Physician Providers caring for patients from Kirkland to Olympia, Washington Gastroenterology is the largest GI specialty practice in Washington state.

“Each of our practices share the same commitment to innovation and exceptional patient care,” Dr. Raj Butani, Board Certified Gastroenterologist, said. “This merger allows us to continue to enhance the patient experience and provide excellence in gastroenterology care for decades to come.”

As an independent physician-owned practice, Washington Gastroenterology can effectively treat patients in clinics, provide infusion services, as well as perform outpatient endoscopic procedures including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, in their Ambulatory Endoscopy Centers (AEC). In addition to offering comprehensive gastroenterology services, WAGI is active in clinical research, which helps to advance the science of gastroenterology resulting in improved overall patient care.

Washington Gastroenterology is operational as of January 1, 2018, with locations in Auburn, Bellevue, Covington, Edmonds, Federal Way, Gig Harbor, Issaquah, Olympia, Puyallup, Tacoma and Yelm.
