SAN FRANCISCO--()--Williams Sonoma, a member of the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (NYSE: WSM) portfolio of brands announced today a new opportunity for female entrepreneurs interested in selling their products in retail stores.

As part of the Williams Sonoma Local program which allows makers and artisans to sell to customers inside Williams Sonoma stores, and in support of the “Press For Progress” theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, Williams Sonoma has launched a new website that allows female entrepreneurs to submit their information to be connected with a local store for the opportunity to sell directly to customers.

Williams Sonoma is currently the exclusive retailer of products made by women like best-selling authors and Food Network stars Trisha Yearwood and Giada De Laurentiis, as well as female food blogger Gaby Dalkin, and the talented sister team of Katherine Kallnis Berman and Sophie Kallnis La Montagne of Georgetown Cupcake.

We work with some of the most inspiring and accomplished women in the food and housewares industries and we look forward to interacting with even more female makers and entrepreneurs,” said Janet Hayes, President of Williams Sonoma.

Several artisan makers and vendors that were once part of the Williams Sonoma Local program selling out of an individual store are now part of the brand’s official assortment and are available on the website and in all 208 Williams Sonoma retail locations.
