NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HLTH, the unprecedented new conference for healthcare innovation, announced today that it will host a 36-hour hackathon, HACKHLTH, inside the Aria Resort on Friday, May 4. This event will source some of the brightest minds in tech to drive innovation across the healthcare ecosystem. The conclusion of HACKHLTH will lead into the full HLTH 2018 program along with a Startup Pitch competition. This competition includes a curated list of some of the most groundbreaking startups that are showcasing products and services that aim to transform healthcare.
“The healthcare industry has an enormous potential to leverage innovative and disruptive technologies and strategies that are making it possible to deliver more intelligent, meaningful and affordable care,” said Jonathan Weiner, founder, chairman and CEO of HLTH. “HACKHLTH and the Startup Pitch competition are a couple of programs at HLTH 2018 that will allow HLTH participants to explore solutions for healthcare’s biggest pain points. Both programs are great ways to cultivate new ideas and create change where it matters most.”
HACKHLTH Program
HACKHLTH has gathered several leading healthcare companies to present challenges that will inspire participants to develop solutions that improve the healthcare ecosystem. Companies include:
- Fitbit Health Solutions
- Helix
- OMNY
- Redox

Judges will review each solution on a 20-point scale with competitors battling for over $80,000 in prizes. The winning HACKHLTH team will then join HLTH’s Startup Pitch competition, presenting their solution through a three-minute pitch to investors, media and other stakeholders from the healthcare ecosystem. This pitch will determine if the team becomes a finalist, competing for the grand prize on Tuesday, May 8. Developers, designers and entrepreneurs that plan to participate in HACKHLTH are eligible to receive up to a $125 travel stipend. Learn more about how you can participate in HACKHLTH here.
