SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Therma, the Bay Area’s premier commercial mechanical and plumbing contractor, announced today that they are expanding into the Southern California market with the opening of new offices in Lake Forest, California. With private capital funding and a 50-year platform of excellence, Therma targets Southern California as a complementary market to support their Northern California clientele with operations in both regions.
Don Bach, the newly appointed Area General Manager stated, “I’m thrilled to be part of Therma’s expansion into the Southern California market. Therma has been providing preventive maintenance services for 50 years. They understand the critical relationship between supporting mechanical infrastructure to sustain a comfortable working environment, while simultaneously controlling costs, managing energy consumption and achieving the highest operational performance possible.”
Therma was founded in 1967 by Joe and Nicki Parisi, and has grown to become a leader in the Silicon Valley market and one of the largest mechanical contractors in the United States. In April 2017, it was acquired by Gemspring Capital, a Westport, Connecticut-based private equity firm. Gemspring Capital partners with talented management teams that take a hands-on approach to increasing revenue and enhancing market leadership.
Therma is a full-service design-build specialty mechanical subcontractor. Within the approximately $300 billion market for mechanical, plumbing and electrical services, Therma focuses on complex HVAC systems and high purity process piping and controls for cleanrooms, laboratories and high-tech manufacturing facilities. It specializes in engineering, building information modeling, energy modeling, fabrication, installation and maintenance services for general contractors, construction managers and owners in the technology, biopharmaceutical, data center and semiconductor industries to fulfill their needs.
“Therma has cultivated exceptional relationships with many of the leading technology, biopharmaceutical, and semiconductor companies in Silicon Valley through its more than 50-year history of innovation,” added Joe Parisi, Therma’s President. “We are excited to be able to expand those services to Southern California and our clients with locations there.”
