In Tie rod cylinders, a rod is tied on outer part of the hydraulic cylinder to give some extra stability to the cylinder. Welded cylinders are welded by the metal around the cylinder. These are heavy duty cylinders that can be used in heavy duty equipment such as drillers for oil rigs, huge cranes.
