Harvard Business Review Launches Two New Podcasts – Women at Work and Dear HBR:

BOSTON--()--Harvard Business Review today announced the launch of Women at Work, a pop-up podcast about gender and the workplace, and Dear HBR:, an advice show for work dilemmas.

Women at Work (available now) – In this six-episode podcast, HBR editors Amy Bernstein, Sarah Green Carmichael, and Nicole Torres untangle some of the knottiest issues around being a woman at work. Through frank discussion with guest experts and surprising research, each episode tackles a different element of working while female, from the changing landscape of sexual harassment to whether female leaders can ever really be perceived as “authentic.”

The first episode, “Being Heard,” features famed sociolinguist Deborah Tannen and explores differences in how men and women make themselves heard. Future episodes will cover the role of a supportive spouse in a woman’s career and the advice women get (and give), among other issues.

Women at Work is sponsored by Deloitte Digital. Listen to it here.

The launch of Women at Work coincides with Managing #MeToo, a digital series about sexual harassment available first to HBR subscribers today.

Dear HBR: (launching February 8) – Work can be frustrating. How can you get along with that maddening coworker? Figure out what your unapproachable boss really wants? Motivate your demoralized team? Dear HBR:, a new 30-minute, biweekly podcast, is here to help. With empathy, experience, and humor, veteran Harvard Business Review editors and co-hosts Alison Beard and Dan McGinn explore solutions to listeners’ workplace dilemmas. Bolstered by insights from guests and academic research, they help navigate thorny situations to find a better way forward.

“Some of the most interesting, emotional, and illuminating conversations today are about the way people interact at work. This is a topic people want to talk about – and hear about – and we’re excited to offer two new, research-backed podcasts where this dialogue can happen,” said Green Carmichael.
