WALLINGFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Mutualink, Inc., an interoperability solutions provider specializing in public safety communications, announced that they successfully participated in FirstNet kickoff events in five states: Arkansas, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee, demonstrating their innovative multimedia interoperability solution capabilities. According to Mutualink, the demonstrations were well-received by attendees.
“Reaching out to first responders and showing the enhanced reliability and capabilities that come about with FirstNet in every state will drive effective adoption of the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network,” said Colin McWay, president at Mutualink, Inc. “Our multimedia interoperability offering leverages FirstNet’s dedicated network for emergency response professionals by providing secure multi-agency interoperability for voice, video and data capabilities on-demand without compromising an agency’s need to retain control over its resources and information."
These advanced capabilities – secure instant multiagency collaboration and need-to-know, context-driven information sharing – are essential to meeting the operational needs and constraints of these agencies. According to McWay, Mutualink also addresses another critical component of overall national interoperability. “Mutualink enables first responders to seamlessly connect in a secure discretionary way with other community partners who aren’t eligible for FirstNet, creating even greater community interoperability without the silos that continue to hamper critical response efforts. We are honored to present our solution at these FirstNet kickoff meetings across the country and continue to educate officials about the capabilities that are coming or are currently available to the first responder community.”
