ShopKeep Grows Partnership with First Data and Launches Customer Facing Clover® Mini Devices to Small Business Owners

ShopKeep integrates Clover technology into its hardware offering to new independent business customers

NEW YORK--()--ShopKeep, the top rated tablet to cloud payments and point of sale platform chosen by over 24,000 independent retailers and restaurants, announced it has launched on the Clover Mini - an all-in-one point-of-sale device that accepts EMV and mobile wallet transactions, and includes a receipt printer. This is the next step in the strategic relationship between ShopKeep and First Data since announcing an expansion to their partnership in February 2017 and just on the heels of a strategic investment by First Data in ShopKeep during the second half of 2017.

Because the Clover Mini is designed to seamlessly integrate with ShopKeep, it will streamline operations, improve the customer experience, and expand business and customer intelligence, all while facilitating payments in a safe, secure environment for ShopKeep customers. The device is integrated with ShopKeep’s software platform, while providing a full customer facing display, semi-integrated payment processing, receipt printer and an on-screen flow for tipping and signatures all for about half the cost of buying a stand-alone EMV card reader and receipt printer. Clover Mini also offers customers the flexibility to connect to their network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, enabling merchants to implement a wireless setup right at their checkout counters.

ShopKeep customers who were early adopters of the technology are already seeing positive results. One customer, Tom Beans, owner of Dudley’s Bookshop Cafe, says, “I absolutely love it, employees said tips were 20% up, customers thought it looked nice and had no troubles using it intuitively. Processing also seems to be a lot quicker.” ShopKeep began selling Clover Mini in December and plans to further expand its partnership with First Data and others, across multiple hardware and payment platforms.

“ShopKeep is proud of this milestone and will continue driving access to industry leading POS technology for small businesses across the U.S. in a way that makes their businesses run easier and smarter, both from an operational and financial perspective. Our partnership with First Data is just one of the ways ShopKeep is achieving that objective,” says Michael DeSimone, CEO of ShopKeep. “We highly value our partnership with First Data and their continued investment in expanding the capabilities of the Clover platform clearly demonstrates their commitment to US small businesses and how companies can work together in the best interests of the market and small business owners. We are excited for both our present offering, as well as all future initiatives with First Data and Clover technology.”
