SIOUX FALLS, S.D.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DocuTAP, one of the nation's fastest growing healthcare technology companies and provider of electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) software for urgent care clinics, is pleased to announce several new executive hires, including Matt Blosl (Chief Revenue Officer), Monte Sandler (EVP of Revenue Cycle Management) and Adam Steinberg (SVP of Account Management).
DocuTAP also added four keystone customers to its roster (Maxem Health, Metro Urgent Care Rocky Mountain Urgent Care and health system based urgent care Inova), expanded its service to over 100 new urgent care clinics, opened new offices in Atlanta and St. Louis and grew its presence in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota headquarters.
The addition of three strong members to DocuTAP’s leadership team, in combination with 70 new staff hires, will help to support the rapid customer growth and ensure future success for the company.
Matt Blosl will be leading the sales, marketing and operations teams for DocuTAP to build on the momentum the company has gathered in the last decade. Before joining DocuTAP, Blosl served in a similar capacity successfully scaling technology companies across a wide range of verticals.
“We believe on-demand services are the future of healthcare. So, we are expanding our team and aggressively growing our business to provide solutions that allow these on-demand healthcare providers to deliver a superior patient experience,” said Blosl.
An entrepreneur at heart, Monte Sandler previously worked at one of the largest ambulatory healthcare IT companies in the country, NextGen Healthcare, building the team and processes that grew the RCM revenue by a factor of five. In his current role, Sandler will help the company grow by building trusted partnerships through customer service.
“DocuTAP has long been a pioneer in the industry,” said Sandler. “As such, I’m thrilled about the opportunity to continue the company’s mission of creating a better urgent care experience by helping our customers spend less time on billing and more time on taking care of patients, growing their clinics and reaching operational excellence.”
With over 20 years of experience in strategy, finance, operations and client relations, Adam Steinberg will be responsible for management of all client relationships and coordination of deliverables. Prior to accepting his role at DocuTAP, Steinberg also held a comparable position at NextGen Healthcare.
The company also acquired Clockwise.MD, the leading patient engagement software, in April to enhance its product offering via online scheduling, wait-time management, communication and feedback. Patient-facing solutions are increasingly important in the on-demand healthcare space and has been a vital component of the company’s success in 2017.
“The urgent care industry has a unique set of needs unlike other healthcare sectors, with a strong emphasis on patient experience and provider satisfaction,” said Eric McDonald, CEO, DocuTAP. “DocuTAP has been able to focus directly on these specific market requirements and deliver a comprehensive solution that helps our customers streamline operations and improve outcomes for physicians, patients and office workers alike. Because of this, in addition to our strategic new hires, DocuTAP is in a position to carry this momentum into 2018 and beyond.”
Recently named the number one rated EHR for urgent care by Black Book Rankings, DocuTAP will also be available through the Epic Systems’ App Orchard, a program allowing hospitals and clinics to browse third-party digital health products that have been integrated with Epic in an effort to ensure better management of patient records.
