LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) will hold a grand opening ceremony for its newest Wellness Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 17th, offering free, confidential screenings for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) from its location at 1811 N. Western Ave.
The Wellness Center will be open for appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 12 – 9PM

AHF Wellness Centers are designed to make testing and treatment for STDs accessible, convenient, and affordable, as well as to encourage regular sexual health screenings for all sexually active people. Services offered include free HIV testing as well as free screening and treatment for Chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis.

Western Avenue in Hollywood and expand our capacity to offer STD and HIV screenings for sexually active adults in a convenient, confidential environment,” said Albert Ruiz, director of AHF’s Wellness Center Programs. “We will initially offer services three days a week at our new Western Ave. location, with plans to expand those hours as we spread the word to potential and current patients who may already be using our Wellness Center in the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center Doctor's Tower, located at 1300 N. Vermont Ave. Suite 407. With our new location on N. Western Ave. being less than one block from the Hollywood/Western metro stop, we want to make it as easy as possible for Angelenos —especially young adults—to make routine STD screenings a key component of their plans for healthy living.”
