SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CB CONNECT CONFERENCE-- Carbon Black, the leader in next-generation endpoint security, today unveiled its vision for the market’s first Predictive Security Cloud™ at Cb Connect, Carbon Black’s annual user conference in San Francisco.
The Cb Predictive Security Cloud™ is the industry’s first predictive, big-data cybersecurity platform that helps anticipate and prevent future and unknown cyberattacks. The vision for the Predictive Security Cloud was outlined in keynote addresses from Carbon Black’s CEO Patrick Morley and CTO Mike Viscuso at Cb Connect Tuesday morning.
The Predictive Security Cloud is a software platform built on an extensible, cloud-scalable architecture, which consolidates endpoint data in the cloud for analytics to provide industry-leading protection from both malware and non-malware attacks.
“With the Cb Predictive Security Cloud, Carbon Black will redefine the business of cybersecurity,” said Morley. “Global enterprises are in a state of digital warfare with no end in sight. With predictive capabilities, security teams can move from a reactive stance to one that is proactive and predictive in order to stem the never-ending parade of breaches. As an industry, we must effectively leverage the power of the cloud and big data to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and help customers across the entire cycle from prediction, prevention, detection, and response.”
Cb Connect, Carbon Black's biggest event of the year, brings together hundreds of security professionals to focus on critical security challenges. At the conference, attendees share insights from practitioner-oriented security topics such as: threat hunting, building security programs, managing security operations centers, application control, and more.
Other Cb Connect highlights include:
- Guest Kevin Mitnick, who will deliver the keynote address: “One-on-One with the Legend: Hacking Live.” Mitnick is known as the world's most famous hacker, a global best-selling author, and the top cybersecurity speaker. Once one of the FBI's Most Wanted because he hacked into 40 major corporations just for the challenge, Mitnick is now a trusted security consultant to the Fortune 500 and governments worldwide.
- “10 Disarmingly Simple Questions for an Effective Board Discussion of Security,” a talk from Carbon Black board member Tom Killalea, who previously served as CISO for Amazon.
- Several customer-led talks on topics ranging from threat hunting, risk management, endpoint security, and more.
