HLTH Announces First 150+ Senior Healthcare Executive Speakers, Including 100+ CEOs and Founders, and First 30 Sponsoring Companies

HLTH Launches “Academic Discoveries” Program to Bring Together Academia, Research Organizations, Government and Nonprofits to Propel Healthcare Transformation

NEW YORK--()--HLTH, the groundbreaking new conference for healthcare innovation, today announced its initial speaker lineup of 150+ senior healthcare executives. HLTH also announced that “Academic Discoveries,” a program to showcase new and innovative research initiatives that meet peer-review standards, has been added to the event. HLTH, which covers innovation in healthcare that is driving substantial reduction in costs and dramatic increase in quality, will take place on May 6-9 at the Aria in Las Vegas and will include more than 300 world-class speakers and over 2,000 industry attendees.

HLTH Academic Discoveries will feature innovations from academic, government, startups and nonprofits that are working on driving efficiencies and improving the healthcare ecosystem. An advisory committee comprised of leading professors and global innovators in health, engineering, policy and patient experience will select the featured innovations following a review of submitted research papers and posters. The top papers chosen will be showcased in a special edition of the International Journal of Innovation Science (IJIS), a fully indexed peer-reviewed journal, and given the opportunity to present at HLTH. Additional components of HLTH Academic Discoveries include:

  • Innovation Alley – A dedicated area of the Exhibit Hall reserved for HLTH Academic Discoveries. Those whose posters are selected will be invited to present their innovations.
  • Award Program – Participants in Academic Discoveries may elect to enter to win one of three prizes:
    • Best Student Idea: $5,000
    • Best Professional Idea: $5,000
    • Best Idea of the Show: $10,000

Research papers must be submitted by January 31, 2017 to be considered. More details can be found at www.hlth.co.

We must share insights and learn from mistakes – from across every facet of the healthcare ecosystem – to ignite the powerful transformation necessary to reduce costs and improve outcomes,” said Jonathan Weiner, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of HLTH. “For example, HLTH Academic Discoveries will bring some of the best research from academics and inventors directly to the leaders of today’s most influential companies and leading investors. The collaborative, real-time evaluation of the peer-reviewed research will accelerate adoption of things that work and drive future study of strategies with promise to address healthcare’s most pressing challenges.”
