AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CynergisTek, (NYSE AMERICAN: CTEK), a leader in healthcare cybersecurity and information management, today announced that it has appointed David Finn as its first Executive Vice President of Strategic Innovation. In this new role, Finn will drive the company’s thought leadership and provide overall strategic direction for CynergisTek, with an emphasis on ensuring superior client service and overseeing business initiatives.
Finn brings more than 30 years of healthcare IT experience to his new role at CynergisTek. Most recently, Finn was the Health Information Technology Officer at Symantec Corporation, a position he held for more than eight years. Prior to that, he served as the Vice President and CIO of Texas Children’s Hospital, an Integrated Delivery System in Houston, TX. During his eight years at the nationally recognized organization, Finn oversaw all information technology initiatives and managed its privacy and security programs. He also served as Executive Vice President of Healthlink, where he was responsible for IT management and HIPAA services. Additionally, Finn has held senior positions at notable firms including PricewaterhouseCoopers and IMG. He received his Bachelors of Arts from the University of Dakota, and his Masters of Arts from Angelo State University. Finn is certified in Risk and Information Systems Control and as an Information Security Manager and Information Systems Auditor.
