GREENSBORO, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wrangler®, a leading global brand in jeanswear and apparel celebrating seven decades this year, stole the show at the annual Greensboro Fashion Week (GSOFW) Thursday night. Brand designers showcased history and creativity through new archive-inspired collections steeped in American heritage.
As an iconic denim brand, Wrangler is at the forefront of the vintage style movement. To celebrate its 70th anniversary this year, Wrangler designers revived archive collections and key heritage products to create updated, modern looks ranging from casual everyday styles to Americana and western-influenced designs.
“Wrangler fall collections marry heritage and style with a colorful vibrancy and attention to detail that makes Wrangler truly unique,” said Vivian Rivetti, VP of Design at Wrangler. “It was so powerful to share the entire brand history in one evening, and pay tribute to the trends that have transcended us through the decades.”
Following on the heels of New York Fashion Week, GSOFW is an annual event celebrating creative talent in North Carolina’s Triad region. The community’s deep history in textiles and denim has played a key role in transforming the American blue jean into an international icon.
The exclusive one-night Wrangler showcase featured a variety of on-trend looks for the fall 2017 season. Featured collections included Wrangler by Peter Max, a premium collaboration with celebrated artist Peter Max; the Wrangler 70th Anniversary throwback collection, reflecting on an era of sunny positivity in youth culture with pops of bright color and product details popular in the ‘70s; Wrangler specialty collections designed for the authentic cowboy and cowgirl, outdoor adventurist and hard-working craftsman; and traditional lifestyle collections featuring comfortable and versatile apparel perfect for whatever the day holds.
The products showcased are available on Wrangler.com, with select items in the brand’s two flagship retail stores in Denver and Dallas.
