CLEARWATER, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stratus Video, an industry leader in innovative video interpretation and telehealth solutions, is opening its third US office. Stratus Video’s new Center of Excellence, located in Dallas, Texas, will support the company’s expanding base of healthcare customers by providing additional customer service representatives and medically certified interpreters. In addition to supporting the region’s Limited English Proficiency (LEP) population, the new facility will bolster the local economy by creating nearly 200 jobs over the next 12 months.
According to 2015 US Census Bureau data, Texas is home to the second-highest concentration of LEP individuals in the country, with 3.6 million non-English speakers. The Center of Excellence will serve Stratus Video’s large customer footprint in Texas by providing better access to highly trained interpreters who facilitate communication between the LEP patient population and healthcare providers. The new center will also provide customer service and technical assistance for clients of Stratus Video’s emergent Telehealth Division.

The facility is located at 8585 N. Stemmons Fwy., Ste. 400, North Dallas, TX 75247, and is in the heart of the Dallas Metroplex, an area which is currently experiencing a surge of revitalization efforts. The building itself is undergoing extensive renovations to improve its facilities and amenities.
In celebration of this expansion, Stratus Video will host a Grand Opening on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 4 to 6:30 pm CT. The event will feature a keynote address delivered by an executive from the Texas Association of Healthcare Interpreters/Translators (TAHIT), discussing innovations in interpretation services and how Texas has advanced the field nationally. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience demonstrations of Stratus Video’s Language Services and Telehealth solutions at the event.
