Ms. Ragland, former statewide child support director for Arizona and author of the book “What About Me? The 17 Million Children in Child Support,” will discuss how the use of teams to promote cross-training can improve outcomes. Mr. Franklin and Ms. Martin will share their hands-on experience as operations leaders in the session titled “Employer Outreach: Partnering to Improve Collections.” Ms. Kirkpatrick will impart her significant experience in business process management and quality improvement by leading a panel discussion on “Outreach Strategies: Combining Old School and New School Approaches for Successful Outcomes” and presenting a session on the use of implementation science to improve the long-lasting effectiveness of training.
WICSEC started as an alliance to better deal with the growing issues surrounding the child support enforcement program. Today, the council seeks to foster interstate and inter-jurisdictional cooperation in the establishment and enforcement of child and medical support, as well as the establishment of paternity. The WICSEC Annual Training Conference brings together government and private sector colleagues from locations west of the Mississippi River to share best practices and discuss policies surrounding the administration of child support enforcement programs. This year’s conference will take place September 24-28 in Anchorage, Alaska.
