Bank of America Merchant Services providing free payments-processing equipment to small business clients affected by hurricanes Harvey and Irma

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--()--Bank of America Merchant Services, a global leader in payments, eCommerce and security solutions, is helping eligible clients impacted by hurricanes Harvey and Irma get back on their feet by offering free replacement of payments-processing equipment.

The company is providing free Clover® Go devices, which enable payments processing via a smart phone or tablet, to businesses in FEMA-designated disaster areas affected by Harvey and Irma.1 Merchants in these regions that rely on Bank of America Merchant Services for payments processing can call 866.787.8310 or email genuine.concern@bankofamericamerchant.com for assistance.

While cleanup and recovery will take months, many merchants – particularly small business owners – need to get up and running again quickly,” said Bank of America Merchant Services CEO Tim Tynan. “We want to do everything we can to help merchants impacted by these hurricanes reopen their doors for business as fast as possible.”

Guidance for Small Businesses

Existing eligible Bank of America Merchant Services small business clients with Clover equipment that are unable to accept payments due to storm damage or a lack of electricity can process payments manually via their smart phone or tablet with the Clover® Go app. (To download the app, search for “Clover Go by Bank of America Merchant Services” in the Apple® App Store and/or “CloverGo-BofA Merchant Services” in the Google Play™ App Store.)

Upon request, Bank of America Merchant Services will provide eligible clients with a new Clover® Go device at no charge – regardless of whether they are a current Clover® customer.

Clover® Go is a mobile card reader that works with smartphones and tablets running Apple® iOS or Android™ operating systems. It connects via a Wi-Fi® or cellular connection and because it uses a rechargeable battery, it does not need to be plugged in to operate.
