PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--OT-Morpho, a world leader in digital security and identification technologies today announces it is working with HP Inc. and Microsoft to transform the connectivity experience of business travelers on laptops equipped with Microsoft Windows 10. An HP computer equipped with DakOTa 4.0 eSIM (embedded SIM) will be presented on the OT-Morpho booth at the MWC Americas to demonstrate the benefits of the Always Connected Windows user experience powered by remote SIM provisioning.
DakOTa 4.0 has been designed in compliance with the GSMA Phase 2 specifications for consumer devices to ensure the best compatibility with MNO networks worldwide and thus allow the largest coverage capabilities. It fully addresses the specific subscription management needs for consumer devices. Validated for Microsoft Windows 10, it enables device makers such as HP to offer greater connectivity capabilities for laptops, notebooks and other personal computer devices using Windows OS. With this new generation of computer and mobile devices the enterprise clients of HP will transform the connectivity experience of their employees on the move. The eSIM will give them simple access to the worldwide coverage and the ubiquity of cellular service in a few clicks.
“The eSIM approach will offer more flexibility to our customers, helping them achieve greater ROI on their device through reduced roaming costs. We are excited to participate in the live demonstration with OT-Morpho and Microsoft and we are looking forward to extend this convenient and user-friendly connectivity experience to HP users,” declared Roland Ng, Global Head of Connectivity and Mobile Alliances, HP Inc.
“Together with Microsoft we are committed to offer the best-in-class support to OEM for the integration of eSIM technology into their devices. We are very enthusiastic to be trusted by a leader in the computer market to promote the adoption of this technology,” declared Viken Gazarian, OT-Morpho, Deputy Managing Director of Connected Device Makers business, OT.
“We are convinced that eSIM technology provides greater connectivity capabilities to devices using Windows 10. We are pleased to work together with OT-Morpho and leading device makers such as HP to facilitate the adoption of this technology worldwide,” added Roanne Sones, General Manager, Strategy and Ecosystem for Windows and Devices at Microsoft.
