IDERA SQL Diagnostic Manager Earns High Marks from Enterprise Users

Eighty-three percent of surveyed organizations increased DBA efficiency with SQL Diagnostic Manager

HOUSTON--()--IDERA, a provider of end-to-end database productivity tools, today announced the results of a new customer survey in which its SQL Diagnostic Manager product earned an 8.3 Net Promoter Score® on a scale of 1-10. Of more than 220 organizations, 89 percent of IDERA customers said they were likely to recommend the product.

Survey participants ranged from small to large organizations in state and local government, banking, financial services, insurance, healthcare, education, computer services and software, retail and hospitality. Among them, 45 percent had over 100 SQL Server databases, 23 percent had 50-100, 21 percent had 10-25, and 10 percent had 9 or less.

Across the board, SQL Diagnostic Manager earned high marks for helping database administrators (DBAs) improve the visibility and performance of their database environments, whether running on Windows, VMware or Hyper-V operating systems. In fact, IDERA customers using SQL Diagnostic manager improved mean-time-to-resolution by more than 75 percent for database issues.

Other survey feedback included:

  • The top challenges with optimizing SQL Servers were improving database performance (76%), identifying inefficient and poor performing SQL queries, batches and statements (69%), and improving visibility into the overall health of databases (63%).
  • The most important features for SQL Server monitoring were the ability to find query bottlenecks using wait state query workload analysis (74%), to find and resolve blocking and deadlock application conflicts (69%), and automatic alert response actions to correct problems and integrate with other systems (67%).
  • The top benefits of SQL Diagnostic Manager were increased DBA efficiency (83%), improved visibility into the health and performance of databases (66%), and faster mean-time-to-resolution for database issues (58%).
  • As a result, 100 percent of government and Global 500 organizations were likely to recommend SQL Diagnostic Manager, followed by small businesses (94%), medium organizations (88%) and large enterprises (88%).
