HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Empyrean Benefit Solutions, Inc., the Hi-Touch Benefits Administration company, expressed its full support for the Houston and Southeast Texas areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and announced operational contingency measures were in place to ensure continuous service.
“Our people are our top priority, and Empyrean has the resources in place to continue business as usual. Our focus now is on responding to our community and those in need,” said Steve Campbell, Empyrean’s Chief Human Resources Officer. “The Southeast Texas area is only beginning to recover, and will feel the effects of Harvey for a long time to come. Empyrean will continue to explore avenues to best assist our fellow employees and the Greater Houston area as we all work together to recuperate from one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history.”
Empyrean is headquartered in Houston, one of the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Harvey – which has moved away from the city but continues towards East Texas and Louisiana as a tropical storm. In addition to the company’s Houston office, Empyrean has two fully equipped offices and Service Center locations in La Vergne, Tennessee, near Nashville, and in Minneapolis. The two offices have complete operational and employee capacity to manage customer support needs for all clients.
Empyrean sustained minimal operational interruption throughout the storm, as the company had prepared and balanced customer support operations ahead of Harvey’s quick escalation from a tropical storm to a category four hurricane. As Houston now begins recovery, Empyrean will participate in the relief efforts by first assisting our employees who were affected, and then to the community in general.
“Our hearts go out to our fellow Houstonians as this great city and its surrounding areas begin to heal from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey,” said Richard Wolfe, Empyrean’s co-founder and CEO. “The entire Empyrean family across our three locations responded swiftly and with resiliency to support our colleagues and clients, especially as a number of Houston-area employees and their families were directly affected.”
“The spirit of Houston is one of people helping people,” continued Wolfe. “Sunlight finally broke through the clouds and reemerged late Tuesday afternoon. Houston will continue to shine from the strength and compassion that is helping to rebuild our community, and we at Empyrean are committed to being a part of that effort.”
