SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CrowdStrike® Inc., the leader in cloud-delivered endpoint protection, today announced the appointment of Laurel Finch as chief legal officer and secretary. Finch brings to CrowdStrike more than 20 years of experience as a corporate, securities, commercial and transactional lawyer working with Silicon Valley companies.
Prior to joining CrowdStrike, Finch served as general counsel, chief compliance officer and secretary at MobileIron, an enterprise mobility management company, where she was the legal lead on the company’s 2014 IPO and helped scale 4x revenue growth in her 4 ½ year tenure. Before MobileIron, Finch was general counsel of OPENLANE, a B2B online auction company in the automotive space, until its 2011 acquisition.
Before OPENLANE, Finch was deputy general counsel of Visa USA, where she led a team of lawyers responsible for all commercial, corporate, product, regulatory and intellectual property legal activities. She was also the lead internal securities lawyer on Visa’s complex corporate reorganization and subsequent $19.1 billion IPO in 2008 – at the time, the largest in US history. Prior to Visa, she was a partner at Venture Law Group and Heller Ehrman.
“We are thrilled to welcome Laurel to CrowdStrike. Her background spans a broad spectrum of legal and business areas, and she has extensive experience working with fast-growing technology companies,” said George Kurtz, CrowdStrike’s co-founder and chief executive officer. “Laurel’s expertise is a great match for CrowdStrike as we experience aggressive business growth and continue to focus on meeting tremendous global demand for our endpoint protection technology platform and security services.”
“I am excited to be joining such an innovative company that has reinvented how companies protect themselves against cyber threats,” said Finch. “Cybersecurity is at the top of every board’s agenda, and I look forward to playing a part in CrowdStrike’s continued success as we support customers in the important mission of protecting their assets, data, intellectual property and employees against modern-day cyber attacks.”
Finch has an AB and a JD from Stanford University, and a Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She will be based out of CrowdStrike’s headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA.
