KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Paleo Foods & More – Tennessee’s only paleo restaurant which specializes in grain-free, non GMO, grass-fed, locally-sourced organic food - has opened a second location and announced plans for more locations in the near future.
Paleo Foods & More launched two years ago in Knoxville’s “The Health Factory.” The success of the original Paleo Foods & More led owners and general manager Matt Huszar to begin looking for expansion locations, resulting in the recent of opening of a Paleo Foods & More restaurant at 9050 Cross Park Drive near Cedar Bluff in Knoxville.
Huszar says that as many as three new Paleo Foods & More locations could open in the next 18 months, and that locations currently being scouted include Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Tri-Cities areas.
A paleo diet is based on foods that can be hunted or fished like meat and seafood and foods that can be gathered like eggs, fruits, vegetables, nuts, herbs, and spices. While all paleo foods have health benefits, Paleo Foods & More views the taste of its menu items as being equally important to its healthy formula.
“Delicious food has never been this good for you,” said Huszar, “Most people know that a paleo diet is really healthy, but they’re surprised to find sausage biscuits and gravy, chicken nachos, cinnamon waffles, chocolate donuts and cake on our menu.
“We offer a large variety of foods that are fun, good for you and – most importantly - taste amazing. People will eat some foods just because they’re healthy and all-natural, but they will line up out the door for healthy foods that taste amazing. That is what we’ve witnessed at Paleo Foods & More.”
Many popular nutritionists have written that paleo foods are the healthiest way a person can eat because it is the only nutritional approach that works with a person’s genetics to help stay lean, strong and energetic. Research in biology, biochemistry and nutrition suggest that it is a modern diet - full of refined foods, trans fats and sugar – that is at the root of many degenerative diseases including obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, depression and infertility.
“Paleo Foods & More is simply bringing back real food,” said Huszar. “It isn’t about restrictions, or counting numbers in your food or on a scale. People eat here because the food is delicious – the health benefits are just an added perk.”
Paleo Foods & More is opened Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information about Paleo Foods & More, visit www.PaleoFoodsCafe.com.
