TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HULFT Pte. Ltd. (herein, "HULFT Pte") is the Singaporean subsidiary of Saison Information Systems Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan, CEO: Kazuhiro Uchida; herein, “Saison Information Systems”), the maker of the HULFT managed file transfer (MFT) middleware. MFEC Public Company Limited (Headquarters: Bangkok, Thailand, CEO: Siriwat Vongjarukorn; herein, “MFEC”) is a listed company in Thailand providing enterprise IT solutions. The two companies have concluded a partner contract (*1) whereby MFEC will sell and provide support for HULFT in Thailand.
Background
As a result of intensifying global competition and economic growth in Asia, the number of Japanese companies using the ASEAN region as a production base has been increasing. However, for today’s optimized and global manufacturing, lower human resource costs alone cannot justify relocating production operations. Among global manufacturers, there is growing interest in improving operational efficiency by integrating production and sales operations around the world.
Noticing these trends, Saison Information Systems established HULFT Pte in April 2015 to serve the ASEAN region, within which Thailand is particularly popular as a location for manufacturing operations.
MFEC serves enterprise customers in Thailand across a broad range of sectors including finance, communication, government, educational institutions, energy, and manufacturing. In April 2014, MFEC entered a capital and business alliance with TIS Co., Ltd. of the TIS Intec Group. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan, CEO: Toru Kuwano; herein, “TIS”) to expand their services to Japanese companies operating in Thailand.
With the signing of this agreement, MFEC has become the first company in the ASEAN region to be designated as an official partner in three categories: Sales Partner, Technical Support Partner, and Product Introduction Partner. So far, MFEC is also the first Technical Support Partner serving the Thailand market.
Both companies will aggressively develop new business opportunities in Thailand’s domestic file transfer, data integration and data conversion fields by expanding business, developing sales, and introducing and supporting the HULFT product family. For customers already using HULFT, it will become possible to provide more substantial local support than before. In addition, MFEC will establish a system that can respond consistently from sales to support in both Japanese and Thai languages. MFEC is aiming to obtain over 100 orders during its first year as a partner, including from promising domestic Thai companies.
