Calgary Scientific’s ResolutionMD Enterprise Image Viewing Software Approved by Russia Healthcare Agency for Web and Mobile Diagnosis

CALGARY, Alberta--()--Calgary Scientific announced that its ResolutionMD® medical image viewing software is now approved by Rozdravnadzor, the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare in the Russian Federation, for diagnosis using both web and mobile devices.

The Russian Federation has a population of 144.5 million, and through its National Health Concept initiative, recognizes health as a crucial factor for the country’s future development and puts health system improvement as a policy priority. ResolutionMD software from Calgary Scientific supports these goals by enabling clinicians to securely view patient images and reports from a wide variety of web and mobile devices, collaborate with other practitioners and diagnose from any location. ResolutionMD software is powered by the PureWeb® platform, which enables companies in multiple industries to access, share, and collaborate with massive data files, securely and at high resolution, without moving or copying the data.

"Adding approval from Rozdravnadzor, the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare in the Russian Federation, demonstrates Calgary Scientific’s direction and dedication to acquire the necessary accreditations for safe web and mobile diagnosis globally, country by country," said Dave Waldrop Chief Revenue Officer at Calgary Scientific. “Healthcare providers across Russia now have access to cutting edge technology that will help them continue to provide world class care to their patients.”

The Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare, a department of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, regulates the healthcare industry and acts as the regulatory agency for medical devices, ensuring these products are up to standards. This registration allows ResolutionMD to be sold in the Russian Federation, enabling medical practitioners to provide a higher standard of care by gaining quick, secure mobile access to diagnostic images using ResolutionMD through the web, iOS or Android devices.

The approval from the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare in the Russian Federation continues the success of Calgary Scientific’s distribution-independent regulatory registration strategy. It follows ResolutionMD software’s FDA Class II clearance in the US, CFDA certification in China, HSA certification in Singapore, PDMA certification in Japan, MDCO certification in Hong Kong, MFDS registration in South Korea, CE marking in Europe, Turkish Ministry of Health Registration, TGA certificate in Australia, registration with ANVISA in Brazil and Health Canada license.
