MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dungarvin Inc. announced the acquisition of Embracing Autism, by Dungarvin Ohio, LLC effective June 7, 2017. Embracing Autism is a highly reputable Ohio provider founded in 2011 helping families support children and adults diagnosed with autism and other disabilities. In November 2015, Dungarvin acquired a portion of Embracing Autism’s services when the tuck-in acquisition of Transitions, an adult day program serving approximately 15 individuals with autism, occurred.
Dan Griffin, Regional Director for the East Region at Dungarvin Inc. stated, “When we acquired their day program in 2015, we were so impressed with the mission, vision, and values demonstrated by Embracing Autism that we were eager to gain more of their services.”
The services acquired provide supported living to 25 individuals. Assistance is provided as intermittent or drop-by services to people living in Columbus and surrounding areas in Franklin, Delaware, Pickaway and Union counties. Additionally, two 24-hour support homes are located in the Dayton, Ohio area in Montgomery County. At the time of acquisition, 60 Embracing Autism employees were offered positions with Dungarvin Ohio, LLC and we are pleased that nearly all employees accepted. With the expansion near Dayton, Dungarvin Ohio, LLC retained the Embracing Autism’s Dayton office to continue supports seamlessly.
