About Pharmacy Times 2017 Survey of Pharmacists’ OTC Recommendations
The 2017 Pharmacy Times Survey of Pharmacists’ OTC Recommendations was conducted through an Internet-based survey about preferences on more than 1,100 OTC brands spanning 163 product categories. Each pharmacist was provided with a subset of the 163 categories and, for each category, was given a list of products/brands and asked to choose which one they recommended most often and the number of times they recommended products in each category on a monthly basis. “Write-in” responses were allowed. A total of 3,076 pharmacists participated in the survey and incentives were offered. The survey was opened on December 1, 2016 and closed on March 1, 2017. Results were tabulated by mid-March 2017.
