LITCHFIELD, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kranos Corporation dba Schutt Sports filed a lawsuit today against Riddell, Inc. claiming that Riddell is infringing three patents covering Schutt’s football helmet technologies.
The Schutt complaint identifies Riddell’s SpeedFlex, Revolution Speed, Revolution Speed Classic, 360, Revolution IQ, Foundation, Revolution Edge, Revolution Attack, Revolution Attack-I, Attack, Victor-I, and Victor helmet models as infringing Schutt’s patents.
Schutt’s patents reflect the substantial investment Schutt has made to develop innovative football helmet technologies. Schutt’s lawsuit will protect its investment in these technologies, and prevent Riddell’s continued usage of Schutt’s intellectual property without permission.

The lawsuit requests an injunction that would prevent Riddell from continuing its patent infringement and an award of damages for Riddell’s past patent infringement.
