This new offering, NetX CloudLink, is a combination of the NetX InDesign Panel and Silicon Connector. InDesign users can search NetX from within the application, and place images without downloading or duplicating the original. (This solution works for On-Prem and Cloud NetX instances.)
CloudLink maintains direct http links to placed assets. Once a document is complete, the Collect-for-Output command will download the sourced assets locally.
Daily production tasks become simpler, as designers can quickly search across very large image collections, and place directly into InDesign. Art Directors and Creative Leads can easily control access to specified collections, and Designers can create with confidence, knowing they have global access to relevant and approved digital assets.
Designers using the CloudLink workflow will reduce local storage requirements. CloudLink leverages a central repository of images in NetX, eliminating image replication in the local environment. The simple and intuitive tool enables designers to quickly browse, select, and place images from their NetX DAM.
