National Black MBA Association® and Prospanica® promote Career Development and Executive Leadership at the 2017 Annual Conference and Exposition

ATLANTA--()--The National Black MBA Association® (NBMBAA®) and Prospanica® today announced the opening of registration for the co-presented 2017 Annual Conference & Exposition. The Conference will convene in Philadelphia, PA, September 26 – 30, 2017, and will include the Career Expo, as well as general programming and workshops specifically designed to address topics important to diverse graduate students and business executives.

This year’s Conference theme “The Power of Performance: Leadership At The Next Level, will offer a myriad of opportunities designed to increase access to careers in management, educate and build entrepreneurs, sharpen and enhance leadership skills, and help attendees secure career opportunities. Programming will feature some of the industry’s top executives and thought leaders offering keynote addresses, moderated panels and interactive workshops that will explore a variety of topics including International Business, Technology and Digital Innovation, and Dynamic Leadership. Confirmed speakers, panelists, and moderators include: Arne Sorenson, President and Chief Executive Office, Marriott International, Inc.; Carla Harris, Vice Chairman, Wealth Management, Morgan Stanley; Demetria Lucas D’Oley, Award-Winning Writer and TV Personality; Kevin Blackistone, Sports journalist and Professor, Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, plus many more.

The collective strength and extensive expertise of both organizations will enhance the Conference with increased access to global corporations interested in recruiting diverse talent for management and executive level positions. NBMBAA® and Prospanica® will fuse best practices from two industry organizations to deliver maximum value to corporate and educational partners.

  • Higher Education Exposition – The Higher Education Expo will connect promising high school students with representatives from top colleges and universities to learn more about college admissions, scholarships and excelling on standardized college entry exams. Admission to the Expo is free and open to local youth.
  • $250,000 Scale Up Competition – Innovative entrepreneurs selected from preliminary rounds of competition will deliver the final pitch to a panel of judges to secure a $100,000 prize for their unique, scalable and seemingly profitable business idea.
