CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fuze, the leading cloud-based communications solution for the modern global enterprise, today announced it has further strengthened its executive leadership team with the appointment of Chris Conry as Chief Information Officer. As CIO, Conry will oversee IT, business systems, and security for Fuze.
Conry brings more than two decades of IT experience and operational leadership to the role, with a primary focus in growth-oriented high-tech businesses. A purveyor of a cloud-first IT strategy, he has a strong track record of delivering agile, business-enabling solutions for both private and public enterprises.
“I am thrilled to have Chris join the Fuze leadership team,” said Colin Doherty, Fuze Chief Executive Officer. “Our research shows how critical the CIO is to building a superior digital business and both the productivity and top-line gains that go along with it. The Fuze executive team is focusing on developing an operating model that can scale for growth and capitalize on the market opportunity in front of us. Chris will be critical to our success.”
Prior to Fuze, Chris drove large-scale IT transformation efforts, led IT integration activities for several mergers and acquisitions, and oversaw corporate security and compliance as vice president of IT & Office Services at Arbor Networks, The Security Division of NetScout (NASDAQ: NTCT). Chris has also held IT leadership roles at NMS Communications, GE Automation, and Intellution. He holds a BS in CIS from Bentley University and an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School at Babson College.
Conry joins the company on the heels of three recent major announcements. In February, Fuze closed on $104 million in financing led by Wellington Management Company LLP, bringing the company’s total funding to more than $300 million, and appointed Colin Doherty as the new CEO to lead the next phase of growth. In March, Fuze published a new research study, Breaking Barriers 2020, on the CIO’s role in the future of work.
