LINCOLN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Athena Capital Advisors LLC, a privately owned, independent Registered Investment Advisor serving private clients, foundations and endowments, today announced that Douglas Cohen has joined the firm as a Managing Director leading Athena’s New York City office.
At Athena, Cohen will focus on the delivery of customized investment advisory services, including asset allocation, portfolio construction and other portfolio-management related services.

Mr. Cohen joins Athena from Eachwin Capital where, as a Founding Partner and Portfolio Manager, he developed the firm’s investment approach and oversaw all aspects of portfolio construction and risk management. Cohen previously spent 18 years at Morgan Stanley, where for the last 12 years, he served as Managing Director and Director of the firm’s Strategic Equity Portfolio Program.

Mr. Cohen received a BA in Finance from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Harvard University. He is also a board member of JOIN Israel, a not-for-profit organization that works to rescue at-risk youth and impoverished elderly through strategic partnerships with other nonprofits.
