KERALA, India--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arjuna Natural Extracts Ltd, the sole inventor, manufacturer, and patent owner of BCM-95®, the bioavailable curcumin standardized for curcuminoids that also contains turmeric essential oil and turmerones, has announced their intent to take action against several U.S. companies who are allegedly engaged in infringement of the company’s patents. The product is available in the U.S. market through Dolcas Biotech LLC sales associates.
The use of turmeric essential oil with turmerones when combined with curcumin by any company without the expressed authorization of Arjuna Natural is in violation of Arjuna's U.S. patents. It has been discovered that several companies in the United States are using turmeric essential oils and turmerones in their curcumin formulations. Arjuna has announced that if they do not cease and desist, they intend to take action to protect their intellectual property rights.
Arjuna intends to fully protect their bioavailable curcumin invention ingredients derived primarily from turmeric, having worked on this effective formulation and delivery system technology since 2002.
"We will vigorously enforce and properly safeguard our intellectual property rights, which include prohibiting the illegal use of our patented invention,” said Dr. Benny Antony, Joint Managing Director of Arjuna, the inventor of the formulation.
“The decision to take legal action against any company infringing our patent will be seriously considered. We work on many research projects each year that bring significant value addition to our existing product portfolio. We will continue to invest in new technologies that answer the ever-changing needs of our customers striving for various natural health supplements. This also includes our commitment to diligently guard our intellectual property,” Dr. Antony emphasized.
