American Public Gas Association Partners with HomeServe USA

Partnership allows APGA member gas companies to offer customers optional service plans

WASHINGTON--()--HomeServe USA (HomeServe), a leading provider of home emergency repair service plans, today announced a partnership with the American Public Gas Association (APGA) to enable APGA member gas companies to offer their customers access to a suite of energy related repair service programs. Through the partnership, APGA’s more than 700 members across the country will be able to extend homeowners they serve optional repair plans for gas piping systems, water heaters, heating systems and more.

“Whatever the cause, dealing with the unexpected cost and inconvenience of an emergency home repair can be a challenge for many homeowners. For APGA member utilities, providing a solution to assist customers in these situations only reinforces their role as a trusted advisor,” said Tom Rusin, CEO of HomeServe USA. “We are pleased to be partnering with APGA to give its members an opportunity to enhance their customer relationships and look forward to helping their customers enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing they are covered in the event of a home repair need.”

The service plans offered through HomeServe will provide homeowners with coverage that protects them from the expense and inconvenience associated with home emergency repairs – helping to connect them with qualified local technicians in a timely manner and covering the cost of repair or replacement costs. HomeServe plan holders also have access to a Repair Hotline that is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, as well as the best licensed and insured contractors their community has to offer.

“The goal of the APGA is to serve the best interests of the many gas companies we represent, which of course means serving the best interests of our members’ customers,” said Bert Kalisch, President and CEO, APGA. “We hope that through this partnership and the added value of services available through HomeServe, our community of utilities can continue to strengthen relationships with their customers.”

APGA members can find out more about partnership opportunities with HomeServe by contacting APGA directly, visiting www.apga.org, or by contacting Len Mize at HomeServe on 484-241-7285 to discuss options.
