She is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at The Catholic University of America, where her teaching and research focus on natural law, bioethics, and the moral and political status of the family. Beginning this summer, she will be taking a new position as Assistant Professor of Medical Ethics at Columbia University. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College, earned her Licentiate in Philosophy summa cum laude from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, and received her Ph.D. in Political Philosophy from Princeton University. Dr. Moschella speaks and writes for both academic and popular audiences on a variety of contemporary moral issues, including religious freedom, marriage, parental rights, brain death and the ethics of assisted reproduction. Her articles have been published in scholarly journals as well as popular media outlets. The Catholic Advisory Board is composed of prominent Catholics who provide religious guidance in accordance with teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
