NEEDHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On March 21, U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Rollie J. Wicks will present “The Coming Swarm Autonomous Drones” at the complimentary Cybersecurity Workshop to be held from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Reston, Virginia, USA. Lt. Cdr. Wicks is an associate advisor of the Secretary of the Navy Naval Innovation Advisory Council and an expert in autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, and robotics. Joined by Dr. Jeff Smith, Multi Agency Collaboration Environment (MACE), LCDR Wicks will discuss autonomous systems and the cyber challenges his team is addressing.
Invited to speak about “Managing Cybersecurity Risk in Avionics” is Dr. Kalabhai "Raju" B. Patel, U.S. Air Force. He is the Technical Advisor, Embedded Computer Systems Software Engineering within the Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. An international authority in embedded computer systems software and information assurance, Dr. Patel is responsible for providing advice and guidance to the highest-level Air Force and government officials as well as for nationally important military aerospace weapon system programs.
Echoing the workshop’s major theme of bolstering cyber defense, authorities in cybersecurity and C4I standards from the Consortium for IT Software Quality™, KDM Analytics, Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics Mission Systems will address:
- Emerging technologies that contain the cost curve for cyber development and integration
